Khumbu Trekking

The Khumbu Valley which is the home to some of the world’s highest peaks is one of the most well known trekking areas in the world.. The trek to the Khumbu Valley is the second most popular trekking expedition in Nepal, the most popular being the famous Annapurna region. The prime attraction of the trek is the mighty Mount Everest, which dominates the region. The fascinating high altitude villages of Junbesi, Phaplu, Namche, & Thami offer you cultural insights into the human settlements. The Khumbu Vakkey Trekking provides you an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Solukhumbu area with the stunning views of Mt.Everest, Mt.Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Mera Peak and Island Peak.

You’ll spot many varieties of birds and endangered animals on the trek. The vegetation consists of birches, junipers, blue pines, firs, bamboos and rhododendrons forests. The astonishing natural beauty, Buddhist monasteries, glaciers and unique Sherpa culture and their life style are bound to fascinate every trekker. The trek offers you some  breathtaking panoramic views of different mountains surrounding the region. 

 
Itinerary
 

Day 01: 30 minutes flight to Lukla (2800m) trek to Phadking (2700m)
Day 02: Phadking to Namche Bazaar (3420m)
Day 03: Acclimatization in Namche
Day 04: Namche to Tengboche (3850m)
Day 05: Tengboche to Pheriche (4240m) /Dingboche (4350m)
Day 06: Acclimatization day
Day 07: Pheriche/Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m)
Day 08: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5160m)
Day 09: Site trip to Everest base (5360m) camp and Kalapattar (5445m)
Day 10: Trek back to Periche
Day 11: Trek back to Tengboche
Day 12: Trek back to Namche
Day 13: Trek back to Lukla
Day 14: Flight back to Kathmandu (30 minutes flight)
